Event Recap
Attending the regenerate conference this year was nothing short of amazing. The opportunity to meet in real life and see so many community members in person was definitely a highlight and one of the most important parts of the conference. Aside from the stockdog demonstration of course, because who can resist watching a good dog work?
The team, made up of Co-Executive Directors Amber Smith and Kristen Kipp along with Board Members Kelly Beevers and Anica Wu thoroughly enjoyed having visitors at the exhibitors table and having the chance to talk with so many incredible folks attending Regenerate! Thanks to all who stopped by to say hello and also those who picked up a hat or t-shirt from the WIR “purchase with purpose program”, your support means everything!
The sessions around Cultivating Financial Clarity with Caroline Wild and the roundtable discussion Community Building towards Climate Resilience; Co-Creating Climate Disaster Plans with Zara Šaponja from National Young Farmers and Hannah Luz Rice centered conversations around shared leadership, mobilizing on a local level, livestock evacuation plans, and essential tools like enterprise analysis and managerial accounting that help operators make informed decisions to stay resilient. In addition to all the great topics of conversation and presentations that centered the theme of Cultivating Adaptability. It felt good to be in conversations around the topic and inspiring to hear about all the good work people are doing to be part of creating solutions in the ag industry and beyond. After all, it’s about relationships and staying connected to the people, land, and animals that move these efforts beyond the day to day work and make it a beautiful life.
