Ranching on Our Own Terms

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, WIR is dedicated to developing leadership on the land. We empower women to show up fully as leaders, learners and community seekers through in-person and virtual programming. We offer practical, accessible resources for women at every stage of their ranching journey. We bring together land and livestock stewards to share their knowledge and skills within our vibrant and diverse community, activating their leadership for generations to come.

Our Vision

Who We Are

This is a community and a support network for anyone who works with, cares for, or feels called to the land. We recognize that the landscapes we live and work on carry the weight of histories shaped by harm and displacement, as well as resilience and hope. These realities still echo in the present, and we carry that knowledge with us as we work toward a future that is more reciprocal, more restorative, and more hopeful for all who call this land home. Together we connect, educate, inspire, and grow as a diverse community of women in agriculture.
