Creating a Management Depreciation Schedule

Meeting Dates: 

• Learning Session: February 10th - 12 to 1:30 PM MST

• Office Hours: February 12th - 6 to 8 PM MST

Learning Session: This week we will learn how to estimate capitalization costs for breeding livestock, how to salvage values and “useful lives” for each class of assets and how to tie all this information together to create an accurate asset list with accumulated depreciations for your asset usage. This will help you learn how to estimate depreciation costs when we are creating a budget.

Weekly Deliverable: You’ll build a spreadsheet in which to store a depreciation schedule for all your assets. You can use this schedule in your enterprise analysis or to estimate depreciation for budgeting.
